Dallas rapper BigXthaPlug<\/a> and Grapevine-raised musician Post Malone<\/a>\u2019s long-awaited country duet, \u201cCold,\u201d comes out on Friday. <\/p>\n

The two North Texas-bred artists<\/a> were seen hanging in a dimly lit recording studio in a February Instagram post. Malone had dropped his 2024 country crossover project F-1 Trillion<\/a> months before, while BigX was teasing his own foray into the genre. <\/p>\n

It seemed a collaboration was imminent. But when BigX\u2019s album I Hope You\u2019re Happy<\/a> came out in August, it featured several young Nashville stars, yet no song with Posty. <\/p>\n

\u201cI sat in the studio so many times with Post Malone,\u201d BigX told Billboard in late August. \u201cHe just been busy nonstop.\u201d BigX added that \u201cyou never know if there\u2019s a deluxe coming out\u201d with Malone and Morgan Wallen, whose schedule also didn\u2019t align for the album. \u201cSo, can\u2019t just hang it up just yet.\u201d <\/p>\n

Malone recently concluded his Big Ass Stadium Tour<\/a> in support of F-1 Trillion, although he has a not-so-small halftime show<\/a> next week at the Thanksgiving game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. <\/p>\n

The Grapevine High School alum posted a photo on Instagram of him and BigX sitting around a bonfire with a snippet of the song \u201cCold.\u201d <\/p>\n

A clip also circulated on social media, apparently showing the artists filming a music video, which BigX reposted to his Instagram story. <\/p>\n
