The last remaining walls of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, heavily damaged in the 2024 Palisades Fire, have been torn down, marking the full clearing of the church site and the start of what parishioners hope will be a swift rebuilding process.<\/p>\n
Photos and video posted last week by the community group @RealPaliStrong showed the church grounds empty after months of debris removal and demolition. The parish\u2019s official Facebook page confirmed the milestone, calling the now-cleared lot \u201ca sign of progress\u201d and \u201cfrom ashes to hope.\u201d<\/p>\n
The historic church on Chautauqua Boulevard was among dozens of structures destroyed or severely damaged in the wildfire.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Adjacent Corpus Christi School buildings were also lost, but parish leaders and community advocates have emphasized that reconstruction plans are moving forward.
