Homeland Security<\/p>\n<p>When cops eventually tracked him down, he was hit with aggravated kidnapping and bodily injury charges.<\/p>\n<p>ICE officials on Monday lodged a federal request to detain him \u2014 revealing he has been in the US illegally since overstaying his tourist visa in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Duarte has also had prior run-ins with cops, including busts for burglary and larceny last year, the feds said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis criminal illegal alien should have never been loose in our communities to attack this woman jogging in a park with a hammer,\u201d Homeland Security assistant secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.77777778;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"37696495\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/lodged-arrest-detainer-sergio-noe-115656874.jpg\" alt=\"A brown wooden sign reads &quot;BOB WOODRUFF PARK CITY OF PLANO&quot; against a backdrop of trees and a building.\" class=\"wp-image-37696495\"  \/>Sergio Noe de Nova Duarte allegedly tried to duct tape the woman before she managed to fight him off and he fled, FOX 4 reported.
