Plano East<\/a> had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn’t the result they were hoping for. They took a 49-35 bruising from the Brennan Bears<\/a> on Friday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn’t forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2016.<\/p>\n

Despite the loss, Plano East still got an impressive performance from Arianna Robinson<\/a>, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 23 points and three steals. The contest was Robinson’s seventh in a row with at least 16 points. Olivia Woods<\/a> was another key player, putting up seven points and eight rebounds.<\/p>\n

Leading Brennan to victory were Bella Flemings<\/a> and Alayna Perez<\/a>. Flemings shot 6-for-11 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 24 points and 16 boards, while Perez posted 12 points and three steals. Those 16 rebounds gave Flemings a new career-high.<\/p>\n

Plano East has already played their next matchup, a 51-50 win against Duncanville on the 8th. As for Brennan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-45 victory against Lincoln on the 8th.<\/p>\n
