Courtesy Princeton ISD<\/p>\n<p>Trustees of the Princeton Independent School District have chosen Carlos Cuellar as president of the school board, succeeding Cyndi Darland.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Starla Sharpe was chosen as vice president and Bianca Washington as secretary.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The internal election was held Monday, Nov. 17, after trustees certified results of the Nov. 4 general election.<\/p>\n<p>The canvass confirmed Sonia Ledezma and incumbent Trustee John Campbell were the two candidates willing the most votes of the seven candidates on the ballot.<\/p>\n<p>They were sworn in by Amy Ivy, administrative assistant to Superintendent Donald McIntyre.<\/p>\n<p>Complete, official returns from Collin County Elections showed Ledezma with 24.82% of the vote and Campbell with 20.85%. Incumbent board member Julie Schmoker polled in fourth place with 18.63% to Melissa Ait Belaid\u2019s 19.83%.<\/p>\n<p>As the meeting began, the board displayed the 2025 Princeton ISD Christmas card designed by Aaruhi Bhaumik, a first grader at Harper Elementary.
