{"id":58292,"date":"2025-11-20T21:24:54","date_gmt":"2025-11-20T21:24:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/58292\/"},"modified":"2025-11-20T21:24:54","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T21:24:54","slug":"new-leaders-strong-pta-showing-mark-wisd-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/58292\/","title":{"rendered":"New leaders, strong PTA showing mark WISD meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wylie ISD Board of Trustees convened for its regular monthly meeting on Nov. 17, welcoming new staff members and receiving several departmental updates.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting opened with recognitions and introductions of new district leaders, including Dr. Jessica Branch as assistant superintendent of human resources; Amanda Lannan as assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction; Amanda Martin as chief of staff; and Amy Andrews as director of counseling and the Wylie Way.<\/p>\n<p>Trustees later received updates on dual credit offerings, Wylie Way Caring and Giving\/Social Emotional Learning programs, the Board of Trustees continuing education report, and the district\u2019s annual PTA update.<\/p>\n<p>Rachel Allen, president of the Wylie ISD Council of PTAs, delivered the PTA report, noting that the district\u2019s 19 local PTAs offered 141 student programs in the past month alone.
