The disturbance occurred around 7:15 p.m., prompting an emergency response to the 8600 block of North Central Expressway.<\/p>\n<p>Dallas police confirmed that the incident was not a shooting, and no injuries have been reported. Officers now believe the loud bang may have been caused by dry ice placed inside a water bottle, creating an explosive sound that many mistook for gunfire.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBuddy at the food court at @NorthParkCenter heard a bang and everyone started looking around. After a second bang, everybody ran,\u201d one witness wrote on X.<\/p>\n<p>Police say the situation remains active as officers secure the area.
