The 48-0 win marked the first defensive shutout for Texas A&M since 2022. Next up for the Aggies is a trip to Austin to close out the regular season against the Longhorns. Per FanDuel, the Aggies are 2.5-point favorites on the road against Texas. The over / under for this one is set at 51.5.

Texas A&M has a lot to play for on Black Friday against the Horns. With a win, Texas A&M would be guaranteed a spot in the SEC Championship in Atlanta. A win would also likely do a lot to help the Aggies secure a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff. For the Horns, a win over Texas A&M would help to salvage a season that didn’t quite live up to expectations. Texas comes into this contest with three losses and is likely out of Playoff contention without a ton of chaos.

You can always throw out the stats when rivalry week rolls around. I’m expecting an absolute war come Friday in Austin. Kickoff will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday on ABC. One last contest left in the 2025 regular season. One last chance to secure an undefeated regular season. The chance to go on the road and beat a rival to secure a spot in the SEC Championship. These are the moments fans live for.

Let’s see if Texas A&M can get it done.

As expected against Samford, the Aggies took care of business.
