Foodie and former sitcom writer\u00a0Phil Rosenthal<\/a> is coming to San Antonio as part of a multi-city visit to the Lone Star State.<\/p>\n

Rosenthal, host of the Netflix food and travel docuseries “Somebody Feed Phil<\/a>,” is embarking on a mini-tour of Texas early next year.\u00a0He plans to visit San Antonio, where he’ll participate in a moderated conversation reflecting on and telling stories from his career.<\/p>\n

“An Evening with Phil Rosenthal of \u2018Somebody Feed Phil<\/a>‘” is set for Jan. 23 at the Aztec Theatre<\/a>. Tickets <\/a>range from $53 to $187.<\/p>\n

His other Texas tour stops include Dallas, Austin and Houston.<\/p>\n

Rosenthal<\/a> started in the spotlight as an actor, but turned to production where he had a renowned career creating shows like the CBS hit “Everybody Loves Raymond.”<\/p>\n

In 2015, Rosenthal again switched careers to become a food series host. He made his dining host debut with the six-episode PBS series “I’ll Have What Phil’s Having.” That concept was retooled into\u00a0Netflix’s “Somebody Feed Phil<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

The docuseries has been a success, with the eighth season released in June. The show features Rosenthal traveling the globe, trying out food specialties and highlighting nonprofits in the cities where he travels. Celebrity guests – like actors Ray\u00a0Romano and Fran Drescher – often join him at the table.<\/p>\n

Despite eight seasons of the show, Rosenthal has featured the Lone Star State only once. During the sixth season, he tried out restaurants in Austin, including Amy’s Ice Creams, The Continental Club and Distant Relatives.<\/p>\n
