\nLCU improved to 6\u20130 and extended its home winning streak to 21 straight with a 73\u201361 victory over Southern Arkansas, powered by a historic performance from junior guard Kennedy Chappell<\/a> and another explosive outing from freshman Meg Meekins<\/a>. Chappell turned in one of the most complete games of her LCU career, posting 27 points, six rebounds, six assists and going 11-of-12 at the free-throw line\u2014becoming just the second Lady Chap in the NCAA era to record a 25\u20136\u20136 stat line. Meekins added 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting and hit five threes, opening 3-for-3 from deep in the first quarter for the second straight home game.

The teams also faced off in the 2020-21 postseason, with LCU prevailing 78-65 in Canyon, Texas, during the South Central Regional Championship (a matchup made possible by COVID-19 postseason realignment).
