The San Antonio Police Department has fired two probationary officers after they were arrested in separate incidents within a week of each other, KSAT reports<\/a>, citing disciplinary records.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The department sacked Officer Cora Crocker Nov. 3, a day after her arrest on a misdemeanor family violence charge, according to the report, while Officer Giselle Lopez-Chavez received her walking papers Oct. 27 after a disturbance at a downtown bar.<\/p>\n

Crocker was charged with assault causing bodily injury-family after witnesses told officers they saw her strike a man in the face after another woman got into his vehicle in a parking lot off Loop 1604, KSAT reports. <\/p>\n

The SAPD report on the incident described both Crocker and the other woman as the alleged assault victim\u2019s \u201cformer significant others,\u201d according to the station. Officers also reportedly described Crocker as being \u201cvisibly intoxicated.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crocker is scheduled to be arraigned Dec. 2 in County Court 13. Her attorney, Ben Sifuentes, told KSAT he would defend her \u201cvigorously\u201d against the charge.<\/p>\n

Lopez-Chavez\u2019s termination came after she and her boyfriend were detained on the ground in handcuffs in front of a downtown bar where they allegedly created a disturbance inside, KSAT reports, citing arrest records. <\/p>\n

Officers took Lopez-Chavez\u2019s boyfriend into custody on a warrant, while she was taken to the city\u2019s detox facility, according to records cited by the station. A photo posted to social media reportedly shows Lopez-Chavez posing with a nurse outside the facility and holding up her middle finger.<\/p>\n

SAPD\u2019s public information late last week told KSAT they were previously unaware of the online image. <\/p>\n
