Dallas Mavericks<\/a> center Dereck Lively II is being evaluated for swelling and discomfort in his right foot, the organization announced on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

He will miss the team\u2019s upcoming three-game road trip through Los Angeles and Denver, and a further timeline on a potential recovery will be provided in approximately 7-10 days, the team said.<\/p>\n

The center last appeared in Friday\u2019s win over New Orleans<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Lively scored four points and grabbed four rebounds in 18 minutes of action. It was his seventh appearance in 19 Mavericks games so far this season. <\/p>\n

His brief four-game return to the lineup came after he missed nearly three weeks due<\/a> to a right knee sprain that occurred on Oct. 26. <\/p>\n

Lively has averaged 4.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.6 blocks this season. He and the franchise hoped the 2025-26 campaign would be a breakout year, one that had minimal injuries unlike his first two years in the league.<\/p>\n

Lively has now played in just 98 out of a possible 183 regular season games so far in his professional career since he was acquired by former general manager Nico Harrison during the 2023 NBA draft. <\/p>\n
