It’s just looking for answers.

“I think what sometimes can happen is it’s like, ‘It’s just this.’ Well, it’s not just that. It’s every piece of the puzzle: coaching, playing, execution, scheme, everything. We’ve got to be better in all of those aspects.

“I thought Kevin did a good job of calling it (Sunday). Obviously, he’s going to want plays back just like every player and myself, we all want plays back. When you’re going through it like that, that’s what you’re always looking at. It’s never in football just one thing, even though you’re always trying to find answers. So, no, I haven’t considered that.”

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class=" lazyautosizes lazyload" alt="Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott reacts after missing on a field goal attempt against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, in Arlington, Texas. (AP Photo/Julio Cortez)

After building an early 21-point lead against the Cowboys Sunday, the Eagles didn’t score the rest of the game. On their final eight possessions, they punted five times, missed a field goal, committed a turnover and let the clock run out at the end of the first half.

Dallas scored 24 unanswered points en route to a 24-21 upset. The loss was another subpar chapter for an Eagles offense that has stagnated all season. There was a perception the Birds took their foot off the gas, but the head coach pushed back on that notion.

“To go up 21-0 … you’re trying to do everything you can to go up 28-0, you’re trying to do everything you can do to go up 35-0. I felt like we were aggressive all game. Obviously, the execution and everything. The execution and the play calling were better in the first half than it was the rest of the time, the schemes and everything.”

“If you look at it, I think that we were still being aggressive to try to get as many points on the board as possible, especially playing against that team that we were playing. Really, you don’t start to think about taking your foot off the gas until you get into four-minute football.”

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class=" lazyautosizes lazyload" alt="Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is sacked by Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa during the second half Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, in Arlington, Texas. LM Otero/AP

Quarterback Jalen Hurts shared what has become a common refrain this year.

“Overarching, we’ve got to find a way to finish the game, and we’ve got to find some consistency in what we do,” Hurts said. “You know, definitely a tale of two halves, but in the end, we didn’t play a complete game as a team, and it got us.”

Meanwhile, as the Eagles prepare to host the Chicago Bears on Friday, they’ll be without rookie safety Andrew Mukuba, who suffered a fractured ankle against the Cowboys and will require surgery. There isn’t a timetable for his return until after the procedure, but it is possible he could miss the rest of the season.

“He’ll be out for some time and we’ll see,” Sirianni said. “I’ll never put a timetable on a guy. We’ll see how long, but he will miss a little bit of time here. I think we have good options there. Mike (S/CB Michael Carter II) will be in one of them. (S) Sydney (Brown, (S) Reed (Blankenship) is still manning everything back there. We’ve got some guys that we have confidence in on the practice squad as well. This is why you need your entire roster. It’s never just the 53 guys; it’s the 70 guys. You never know when those guys’ opportunities will come, and here we are.”

The status of cornerback Adoree’ Jackson (concussion) is unclear, but Blankenship (thigh) is expected to play Friday.

—

Follow Christiaan DeFranco on X at @the_defranc for the latest updates.

PHILADELPHIA — Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo will continue calling plays and that he…

[13
150,152,151,33813
0":"post-64942","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-arlington","8":"tag-arlington","9":"tag-arlington-headlines","10":"tag-arlington-news","11":"tag-eagles-coach-nick-sirianni-said-offensive-coordinator-kevin-patullo-will-continue-calling-plays-and-he-hasnt-considered-a-change
["GET
