{"id":65326,"date":"2025-11-26T02:50:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-26T02:50:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/65326\/"},"modified":"2025-11-26T02:50:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T02:50:08","slug":"black-friday-shopping-brings-deals-holiday-spirit-to-south-plains-mall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/65326\/","title":{"rendered":"Black Friday shopping brings deals, holiday spirit to South Plains Mall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) &#8211; Holiday shoppers are checking items off their Christmas lists as Black Friday sales begin at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southplainsmall.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.southplainsmall.com\/\">South Plains Mall.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Ashley Knox, marketing manager at South Plains Mall, said shoppers should not miss the weekend sales.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cDeals are rolling out each day, stores are well stocked, they\u2019re excited to welcome people back,\u201d Knox said. \u201cI know that for many of our stores and many of our shoppers, it\u2019s a wonderful opportunity to maybe see people you haven\u2019t seen in a while, gather with your friends and family, and come out and get your Christmas shopping done,\u201d Knox said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">While online shopping has become common for its convenience and accessibility, Clara Ellison, store manager at Dillard\u2019s, said in-person shopping offers advantages where customers can see and feel products.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWhen you go online you don\u2019t get a true representation of the product, so sometimes you order something you think is going to be a nice sheet cake pan and you get a muffin tin,\u201d Ellison said. \u201cSo it\u2019s very important to actually come and look at the merchandise, particularly if you\u2019re buying apparel, to try it on, see how it fits on you,\u201d Ellison said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Ellison said in-person shopping puts money back into the local economy and may help shoppers discover new stores.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cOne thing it helps is the entire city because you\u2019ve got so much traffic and so much excitement,\u201d Ellison said. \u201cThey come in to shop, they eat here in Lubbock, they go to the movies, they go to whatever shows are going on, of course it brings in a lot of traffic and in a lot of cases, people who have never been in our mall, and our store,\u201d Ellison said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Knox said shopping is all about the experience.
