Two flavors from Local Creamery received national recognition.<\/p>\n

PLANO, Texas \u2014 A family-owned Plano ice cream shop is earning national attention after taking home two major honors from the North American Ice Cream Association\u2019s national convention<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Local Creamery\u00a0<\/a>won Blue Ribbons for its Vanilla and Strawberry ice creams \u2014 and its Strawberry flavor earned the highest score in the nation at this year\u2019s competition.<\/p>\n

The convention, held this year in West Palm Beach, FL., drew record-breaking crowds and is considered the most respected industry event in North America. The Blue Ribbon entries are evaluated on flavor, texture, appearance and overall quality.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are incredibly honored to receive this recognition from the North American Ice Cream Association,\u201d owner Brooke Bauer said. \u201cOur Vanilla and Strawberry are classic flavors that we pour a lot of love and attention into. To have them judged among the best in the nation means the world to our team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Local Creamery\u2019s Vanilla is made with premium cream and hand-selected vanilla for what the shop describes as a smooth and balanced flavor. Its Strawberry flavor is made with ripe berries to create what it calls a \u201cbright, refreshing, and authentically fruity taste.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Plano shop, which opened in 2022, specializes in small-batch ice cream made with all-natural, dye-free ingredients, including dairy-free and allergy-friendly options. The award-winning Vanilla and Strawberry are regularly available in-store, along with signature flavors and rotating monthly specials.<\/p>\n

Ohio-based\u00a0Jubie\u2019s Creamery<\/a> took home \u201cFlavor of the Year\u201d for Hot Honeycomb, a flavor featuring Tasty Bacon\u2019s food truck Millionaire\u2019s Glaze, hot honey and honeycomb chips.<\/p>\n

Local Creamery is located at 5805 Preston Road, Suite 598, at the southwest corner of Spring Creek Parkway and Preston Road.<\/p>\n
