Geoffroy Letienne<\/a> was named to the Division II Conference Comissioner’s Association All-South Central Region First Team, the association announced on Tuesday.\u00a0<\/p>\nLetienne \u00a0led the Chaps in minutes played with 1687. He played every minute of all but one game \u2013 LCU’s 5-0 win against Adams State \u2013 anchoring an LCU back line that limited opponents to 0.94 goals per game, which was the third-best mark in the conference. The Auxere, France, native also contributed offensively with a pair of goals on 15 shots. ar<\/p>\n
He was named the Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Year and to the All-LSC First Team and LSC All-Tournament Team. He was also named the LSC Defensive Player of the Week once during the season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
One of the team’s captains, Letienne helped lead the Chaps to one of their most successful seasons of LCU’s NCAA Division II era. The Chaps finished the season 8-8-4, advancing all the way to the LSC Tournament Championship for only the second time in program history.\u00a0
