There\u2019s no time for celebrating Sunday\u2019s huge game, however, as they move right ahead to playing the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday in Dallas\u2019 annual Thanksgiving game.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s vital, you\u2019ve got to reset,\u201d Prescott said. \u201cYea, that was a great win, great, tough win, emotional coming back from down 21, but it was only to be celebrated that night to be honest with you\u2026 Especially on the short week, you\u2019ve got to move forward, you\u2019ve got to get on your film, you\u2019ve got to find a way to crunch five days into two, two and a half, three days.\u201d<\/p>\n
It\u2019s not easy to compress that much information for a quick-turnaround game against any opponent, but much less when it\u2019s the Kansas City Chiefs, who played in Super Bowl LIX against the Eagles, who Dallas played on Sunday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know how talented and good this team is coming in,\u201d Prescott said. \u201cWe know how important it is to start fast, and that\u2019s our focus. However, if that doesn\u2019t happen, you\u2019ve got to be resilient, you\u2019ve got to show competitive stamina. At the end of the day, it\u2019s a four-quarter game and that is what the goodness of last week does.\u201d<\/p>\n
All of Kansas City\u2019s losses have come in one-possession games. While their 6-5 record may not be indicative of it, the Chiefs\u2019 offense has continued to play well, and it\u2019s led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who Prescott has a lot of respect for.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverything in his game,\u201d Prescott said of what he respects about Mahomes. \u201cThe way he plays it, at the end of the day obviously talent jumps out, but you watch a guy who plays with pure passion, who\u2019ll do anything it takes to win. On the sideline, he\u2019s not necessarily always running out of bounds, trying to make the extra play, never giving up on a play, has the ability to throw it back across his body. He does it all right.
