AUSTIN (KXAN) \u2014 A 39-year-old Houston man is facing \u201ccompelling prostitution\u201d charges after he was arrested at a residence in east Round Rock Wednesday, according to the Round Rock Police Department.<\/p>\n

That man was identified as Brandon Williams, according to police. Police also found a handgun in his possession at the time of his arrest.<\/p>\n

Attorney information was not listed for Williams, as of Wednesday. We will update this if that changes.<\/p>\n

This comes after police received \u201ca tip reporting possible human trafficking\u201d at that residence, RRPD said in a news release Wednesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe caller told police that a female relative was being held against her will and forced to engage in sex acts, and that the property may have been operating as a short-term rental,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived at the residence, they found three adults \u2014 one was identified as Williams, and the other two were women in their 20s \u2014 all from Houston, according to police.<\/p>\n

One of the two women told police Williams \u201chad transported them from Houston to Round Rock to engage in prostitution and was preventing them from leaving.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cInvestigators believe the incident was isolated. Both women were provided support and connected with available resources,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n

According to police, compelling prostitution happens \u201cwhen a person knowingly causes another to engage in prostitution through force, threat, coercion, or fraud.\u201d<\/p>\n

If Williams is convicted in the case, police said he could face a sentence \u201cranging from five to 99 years in prison.\u201d<\/p>\n
