Jefferson Blvd. (free street parking available).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPaint &amp; Shade The Stigma\u201d is an \u201cembodied paint-and-sip experience\u201d in which participants are invited to paint directly onto the body of a live model in real time, \u201ctransforming vulnerability into visibility,\u201d according to a press release about the event. \u201cEach brushstroke is an act of remembrance and resistance through our \u2018Ink Your Impact\u2019 experience: Choose a word, phrase or symbol to paint on the model honoring those we\u2019ve lost, those who live and those still healing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Models are provided by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/thehouseofgarcons\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Legendary International House of GarVon \u2014 Gulf Coast Chapter<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/house_of_west\/?hl=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The International Captivating House of West \u2014 Gulf Coast Chapter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Also at the event, <a href=\"https:\/\/dallasculture.org\/artist-directory\/guru\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">spoken word artist Guru<\/a> hosts the \u201cStigma I\u2019m Shading\u201d Open Mic with guest speakers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/kahlib.b\/?hl=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kahlib Barton, father of The Legendary International House of GarVon \u2014 Gulf Coast Chapter<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/instagram.com\/p\/CtpgaiRLOnh\/?hl=en\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Deon West, father of The International Captivating House of West \u2014 Gulf Coast Chapter<\/a>. The open mic is presented in part with support from <a href=\"https:\/\/blacc.net\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Black Leadership AIDS Crisis Coalition<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There will confidential HIV testing and local wellness resources on site, a Community Collective featuring local fraternities, organizations, creators and cultivators, DJ vibes and more.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are $10, and each ticket includes an apron and gloves, brushes and paints, complimentary soda and juice, charcuterie by Fogo de Ch\u00e3o and I ticket in the raffle for exclusive giveaways.
