\n\t\t\t\t\t\tThey are one of the most iconic cheer squads in the world: the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.For one young woman from Kearney, that dream became reality.\u201cI really knew that this is where I am meant to be,\u201d said Sophia Brown, a new member of the famed cheer team.Brown didn\u2019t always envision herself professionally dancing. Growing up, she trained in martial arts.\u201cI have a black belt in karate,\u201d she said.Eventually, cheerleading at Kearney High School changed her path. That\u2019s when she first set her sights on the star-studded Cowboys sidelines.\u201cIt was what I wanted to do and my mom was like this is so cool. I couldn’t even imagine doing that one day,\u201d Brown said.After making the team in her second year of tryouts, Brown says the moment still doesn\u2019t feel real.\u201cIt was the most electrifying and amazing feeling when I made that team,\u201d she said.The whirlwind year has included cheering at AT&T Stadium and even a surprise appearance on \u201cThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.\u201d\u201cI met him and I was like am I here. Those moments literally pinch me awake me from this dream,\u201d Brown said.Now, she\u2019ll perform on one of the biggest football days of the year. On Thanksgiving Day, in front of a national audience, she\u2019ll be cheering on the Cowboys against a team close to home.\u201cThis year is going to be something special. Very different and very special to me. A really amazing day,\u201d she said.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
