When we think of cheap seafood, we liken it to getting sushi at a gas station. A gamble for sure. There are plenty of great seafood options<\/a> in Dallas, but often with a high price tag. <\/p>\n But a new restaurant concept, Angie\u2019s, opening in Plano, wants to change how we view the accessibility of seafood and high-quality ingredients.\u00a0<\/p>\n Angie\u2019s<\/a> is a collection of four \u201cdisruptive\u201d restaurant concepts that want to make luxury foods available to everyone by redefining what\u2019s possible in the fast food space. There\u2019s Angie\u2019s Lobster, Angie\u2019s Prime Grill, Angie\u2019s Burger and Angie\u2019s Chicken; all united by a streamlined and integrated business model, founders Tony and Roushan Christofellis say.<\/p>\n We can\u2019t lie, a $9.99 lobster roll sounds like a disaster at first, until we read about Angie\u2019s business model<\/a> that makes prices like that accessible.<\/p>\n The founders built their business from the ground up and took advantage of being in control of their entire supply chain. <\/p>\n \u201cOur culture is about reducing non-mission critical costs to invest in what matters most: our food and our people,\u201d said co-founder Tony Christofellis.\u00a0<\/p>\n Angie\u2019s company owns \u201ca wharf on Bailey Island, Maine, a 63,000 square-foot processing facility in Richmond, Maine, a distribution center with beverage and sauce processing facility in Phoenix, Arizona, an antibiotic-free chicken processing facility in Chandler, Arizona and its own trucking fleet,\u201d per the release.<\/p>\n Every middleman is eliminated so they can focus on food quality. Ordering is done through a self-service kiosk. Self-service drink stations are inside. Because the in-house processes are so streamlined, they require fewer employees during working hours. Their workers are allegedly paid the highest wages in the drive-thru industry for their market.<\/p>\n Two New Concepts<\/p>\n Angie\u2019s Lobster was the first concept to launch in 2022, in honor of Tony Christofellis\u2019 late mother, Angela (Angie). The next to launch was Angie\u2019s Prime Grill in 2023. Now, with a combined 20 locations in Arizona and Las Vegas, they\u2019re excited to bring two Angie\u2019s concepts (Angie\u2019s Lobster<\/a> and Angie\u2019s Prime Grill<\/a>) to Plano on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 701 W. 15th St., which is right across Central Expressway from Historic Downtown Plano.<\/p>\n Both concepts will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. \u2013 10 p.m., until the launch of breakfast, with a self-service drive-thru and indoor seating. Payments are through debit\/credit or phone tap only. No cash. <\/p>\n The Angie\u2019s Lobster menu will have chilled and warm Maine lobster rolls for $9.99 as a highlight, as well as lobster cakes, wild-caught Mexican colossal shrimp, North Atlantic snow crab and fried North Atlantic cod.<\/p>\n Angie\u2019s Prime Grill will serve warm rice bowls, grilled burritos and fresh-cut salads with your choice of USDA prime top sirloin steak, antibiotic-free chicken and wild-caught Mexican colossal shrimp.
