There, the department said, they found a kitten <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/PlanoFireRescue\/posts\/pfbid0q6F4xDQ7giyajP8RGMpQsPrfgNekPCZfwjNHgC7j9eSa6Kn74pUvTUnhA2XDwioQl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">stuck<\/a> behind the dash of an F-150 pickup truck.<\/p>\n<p>A cat rescue group had taken the kitten for evaluation, but it got loose, according to Smith.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe kitten escaped out of the cat rescue group\u2019s vehicle and got trapped inside the dash, which led to their call for help,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters with Station 1, A shift, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/PlanoFireRescue\/posts\/pfbid0q6F4xDQ7giyajP8RGMpQsPrfgNekPCZfwjNHgC7j9eSa6Kn74pUvTUnhA2XDwioQl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">responded<\/a> to the scene.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter nearly two hours and a whole lot of console-and-dash disassembly, the tiny stowaway was safely freed and sent off for evaluation,\u201d department officials posted.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>These sorts of situations happen often, but people do not always call the department for help, according to Smith \u2013 \u201cLately though we have had two kitten rescues in precarious situations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters had discovered a kitten <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/cityofplanotx\/posts\/pfbid02BpeTdb2m2znRJj59JEaLiokE3arEGH1mZ6wPCkLE6e2GxDupamsekQSoqHonEVdyl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">stuck<\/a> 25 feet down a narrow gap in a construction site, Plano fire officials announced on November 7.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The firefighters used quick thinking, a tarp, and some food to bring the kitten safely to the surface.
