The chicken business is booming right now and chicken finger businesses seem to be really taking off. And now a College Station favorite is about to spread it&#8217;s wings&#8230; or fingers across Texas.<\/p>\n<p>Layne&#8217;s Chicken Fingers Plans Expansion Across Texas<\/p>\n<p>Texas A&amp;M students are already fans of Layne&#8217;s Chicken Fingers. Layne&#8217;s opened in College Station in 1994. Previous ownership was never interested in expansion, but Garrett Reed, who purchased Layne&#8217;s along with his partner in 2023 has been slowly expanding the business according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chron.com\/food\/article\/laynes-chicken-fingers-texas-expansion-21171095.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Chron.com<\/a>. There are more than 30 locations nation-wide right now and soon, it will be much more.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chron.com\/food\/article\/laynes-chicken-fingers-texas-expansion-21171095.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Chron.com<\/a>, Layne&#8217;s Chicken Fingers will be opening 44 locations across Texas. That includes San Antonio, South Texas, and West Texas.<\/p>\n<p>Layne&#8217;s Chicken Fingers to Open Lubbock Locations<\/p>\n<p>We started hearing talk of Layne&#8217;s Chicken Fingers expanding to Lubbock in 2022 and 2023. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.everythinglubbock.com\/news\/hub-city-eats\/laynes-chicken-fingers-to-open-several-lubbock-spots-in-2026\/?fbclid=IwY2xjawOL775leHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETF1ZWgzTUR5VXFLMVBMYXp6c3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHibsdh9LIB8firvXkz5YuekvI-lhbxcMc_Jw6zvmzqaIQo9s82bm4z6zi-76_aem_NG-tZnTCUGIOX93Q56jIxQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">KAMC<\/a>, Layne&#8217;s Chicken Fingers plans to open at least two Lubbock locations and possibly a third location.<\/p>\n<p>The locations are supposed to open in 2026 and no locations have been given yet.<\/p>\n<p>The chicken finger wars will be heating up in Lubbock, but I don&#8217;t know of anyone complaining.
