Residents are asked to turn on their outside lights, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and spend the evening outdoors with their neighbors, police officers, and other City personnel.<\/p>\n

Hosting a National Night Out event doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Here are some ideas to keep it simple and share the costs:<\/p>\n
Email or hand deliver homemade invitations to all of your neighbors on your block.

\nHost a front yard potluck: Ask everyone to bring a lawn chair and food to share. Play games with the adults and kids!

\nAsk neighbors to turn on their lights and come outside for a walk or stop by your event.

\nSay hello, introduce yourself, help new neighbors meet each other, and share contact information.<\/p>\n
Once you decide to host an event, please register your event with the Corpus Christi Police Department by filling out a short online form<\/a>. We will do our best to stop by on October 7. Remember, any large block party (special event street closure) requires a traffic control plan that needs to be approved by ROW Management.
