Folks, the Texas Tech Red Raiders are the best team in Texas. That\u2019s at least what ESPN\u2019s Football Power Index is saying and that seems good enough to me right now. It\u2019s not the Texas A&M Aggies. It\u2019s not the Texas Longhorns. It\u2019s not the Rice Owls.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Joey McGuire\u2019s Texas Tech football team sits above every single other team from the Lone Star State in the FPI rankings ahead of Week 14.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how the various different college football teams from Texas rank in ESPN\u2019s FPI this week<\/a>:<\/p>\n

It\u2019s great to see the Red Raiders still holding on to the top spot among teams from the state of Texas, according to the FPI rankings. Ahead of the Week 14 slate of games, Texas Tech is ranked ahead of the likes of the Texas A&M Aggies and the Texas Longhorns. <\/p>\n

And that, folks, is great to see.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also great to see that the Red Raiders are holding a fairly significant advantage over the other Texas teams in the Big 12. The TCU Horned Frogs are sitting at No. 34, the Baylor Bears are all the way down at No. 53, and then there\u2019s the Houston Cougars at No. 57.
