An Instagram-worthy coffee shop is now open at The Shops at La Cantera.<\/p>\n
La La Land Kind Cafe is holding a soft opening over the next week, featuring its signature sweet coffee creations in its signature bright yellow cups. The viral coffee shop will host a grand opening on\u00a0Dec. 6, according to an Instagram post.<\/p>\n
The coffee shop is taking over the former home of Francesca’s<\/a> at the Northwest Side open-air mall. It’s the Dallas-based chain’s first outpost in the Alamo City.<\/p>\n The grand opening party is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 6. Customers can get 50% off on all drinks and toast, and the first 300 guests get free La La\u00a0Land-themed gifts.<\/p>\n Its soft opening started this weekend and runs through next week. The coffee shop blew up for both its trendy, bright-colored look and its mission.<\/p>\n The cafe employs interns who are aging out of the foster care system to help them transition into adulthood. There’s the bright pink and green strawberry\u00a0matcha latte called Strawberry Fields; a lavender-flavored espresso drink named Lavender Bloom; and an array of avocado and fruit toasts, including truffle\u00a0burrata and classic avocado toast.<\/p>\n The San Antonio shop is open in time for La La Land’s holiday drink lineup, including the\u00a0S’Mores Cloud Latte and Sugar Cookie Latte.<\/p>\n La La Land’s drinks are served in clear cups with bright yellow tops and coffee cup sleeves that say “Be Kind.”<\/p>\n ALSO READ: On Small Business Saturday, Texas restaurants want cash over credit card<\/a><\/p>\n The chain first branched out into multiple locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It has since expanded to Houston, Austin, Los Angeles and Nashville.
