On today’s Hello Houston, Ernie, Frank, and Celeste talk with University of Houston political science professor and Party Politics<\/a> co-host Brandon Rottinghaus<\/a>, who discusses the upcoming November election, the propositions on the ballot, and the latest political news in the show’s first hour.<\/p>\n

Also, in the first hour, Rottinghaus tells us about Y’alloween<\/a>, a nonprofit he runs with his son that helps provide children in need with costumes for Halloween.<\/p>\n

Then, in the second hour of the show, we’re joined by Pablo Pinto<\/a>, Director of the University of Houston’s Hobby School Center for Public Policy, who breaks down a new report that found many Houston area households are currently facing economic strain.<\/p>\n

Plus, our hosts and listeners share the things that are currently taking over all their free time for our regular Thursday feature, “Current Obsessions.”<\/p>\n
