CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will hold an in-person public meeting for the US 77 Odem Project on Thursday.<\/p>\n
TxDOT stated that the meeting will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the Odem Junior High School cafeteria, One Owl Square in Odem. For those who cannot attend the meeting, a virtual version will be available at 5 p.m. on the same day.<\/p>\n

The project spans US 77 from I-37 to FM 1945 south of Sinton and is currently in the environmental study phase.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The proposal includes upgrading part of the existing highway to interstate standards and constructing a new relief route around Odem.\u00a0<\/p>\n
TxDOT says the improvements include two main lanes in each direction, along with overpasses and entrance and exit ramps to maintain connectivity with local roads.<\/p>\n
For those individuals attending the in-person meeting, TxDOT staff and consultants will be present to answer questions and receive public comments.<\/p>\n
