BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas \u2013 The third-annual ACC-SEC Challenge is due up for Georgia Tech women\u2019s basketball for a road showdown with Texas A&M Wednesday night.<\/p>\n
The Jackets roll in facing their third SEC opponent in four games to cap off a four-game road stretch. Tech was unsuccessful in the Cayman Islands Classic last week, dropping two narrow, hard-fought games to 7-1 St. John\u2019s (77-75) and 8-1 Florida (65-56).<\/p>\n
Catherine Alben was named to the Cayman Islands All-Tournament Team while\u00a0Savannah Samuel made her mark against the Gators, scoring 14 points and adding a career-high 10 rebounds for not only the first Tech double-double of the season, but the first of her career.<\/p>\n
Texas A&M enters the matchup having rested for eight days over the holiday. Last time out, the Aggies bested Colorado, 59-46, getting back on track after falling to UT Arlington in a narrow 61-60 decision the day before.<\/p>\n
Tip-off is set for 7:15 p.m. ET\/6:15 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.<\/p>\n

Wednesday is just the second meeting between the Yellow Jackets and Aggies, and first since Dec. 20, 2019. Texas A&M secured a 60-48 win in San Juan, Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n
Tech is 1-1 all-time in the ACC-SEC Challenge, winning last year\u2019s game against Mississippi State, 78-75, inside McCamish Pavilion. Florida got the best of the Jackets in the first ACC-SEC Challenge game in program history, a 68-58 decision in Atlanta. INSIDE THE ROSTER\u00a0<\/p>\n The 2025-26 campaign features a 13-person squad led by a pair of senior guards: a returner from\u00a0Gij\u00f3n, Spain,\u202fIn\u00e9s\u00a0Noguero\u202fand a Charleston Southern transfer from Snellville, Ga.,\u202fCatherine\u00a0Alben. The duo represented Tech at ACC Media Day with head coach Karen Blair in the preseason. Rounding\u00a0out\u00a0the returners are junior center\u202fAdriadna\u00a0Termis\u202fand junior guard\/forward\u202fD\u2019Asia\u00a0Thomas-Harris.\u00a0<\/p>\n Noguero\u00a0played in 27 games with 21 starts a season ago, finishing second on the team with 39 steals. She has earned\u00a0three-consecutive\u00a0All-ACC Academic Team and Honor Roll awards.\u00a0Termis\u00a0made 21 starts for Tech last season while averaging 42.6% from the\u00a0floor. She was named a 2024-25 Hawaii North Shore Showcase All-Star after leading Tech with 13 points in a 74-58 win over No. 21 Oregon. Thomas-Harris has\u00a0played in\u00a033 career games at Tech as she enters her junior season.\u00a0<\/p>\n Tech brings 10 newcomers to the hardwood this\u00a0season\u00a0including fifth year guard and Boston College transfer\u202fSavannah Samuel.\u202fShe led the Eagles\u2019 bench last season with 6.3 points per game and posted a career-best 16 points in the WBIT opening round against Villanova.\u00a0<\/p>\n Coach Blair\u2019s incoming production includes two senior guards:\u202fBrianna Turnage\u202ffrom Florida State and\u00a0Alben. A 5-7 Grayson High School product, Turnage played in 90 games for the Seminoles in three seasons, averaging 30.8% from the floor.\u00a0Alben\u00a0is a two-time All-Big South Conference honoree with over 1,000 career points, having earned a first team nod last season and an All-Freshman team\u00a0selection\u00a0in 2022-23.\u00a0<\/p>\n The junior class of newcomers features guard\u202fLa\u2019Nya\u00a0Foster\u202fand forward\u202fJada Crawshaw. Foster, a transfer from Austin\u00a0Peay, was named Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Year in 2023-24 and made 47 starts in 64 games played for the Governors. Crawshaw, a native of Darwin, Australia, arrives to The Flats from Long Beach State where she earned Big West All-Freshman Team honors in 2023-24. Walker played 29 games at Penn State a year ago averaging 5.6 points on 44.6% shooting and 3.3 rebounds per game.
