Expansion and upgrades are part of the first phase of a multi-level expansion at the Bay Area campus.<\/p>\n
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 Corpus Christi Medical Center (CCMC) has opened its newly expanded Emergency Room at the Bay Area campus on Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
CCMC stated this marks the first phase of a major, multi-level upgrade to boost healthcare access across the region. The Bay Tower ER has expanded, tripling in size with 13 additional treatment rooms, 29 total ER beds, and a larger waiting area.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThis expansion represents a pivotal step in our mission to advance the care and improvement of human life,\u201d said CEO David Irizarry.<\/p>\n
In the next project phase, the hospital will add 48 inpatient beds to the tower\u2019s new fifth and sixth floors, with completion expected in late 2027.<\/p>\n
Other additions to CCMC include a neurointerventional radiology lab equipped with high-performance biplane imaging technology. The system offers real-time, high-resolution views of brain and spine vessels to support complex neurovascular procedures.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis technology offers enhanced clarity and real-time feedback,\u201d said Dr. Faheem Sherif, adding that it will improve precision, efficiency, and outcomes for patients experiencing stroke and other critical conditions.<\/p>\n
