{"id":73252,"date":"2025-12-02T19:36:09","date_gmt":"2025-12-02T19:36:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/73252\/"},"modified":"2025-12-02T19:36:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-02T19:36:09","slug":"prototype-vintage-to-celebrate-20-years-with-second-location-in-north-austin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/73252\/","title":{"rendered":"Prototype Vintage to celebrate 20 years with second location in North Austin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/prototype-vintage.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Prototype Vintage<\/a>, also found off South Congress Avenue, will soon be offering vintage clothing and accessories in Austin\u2019s North Loop neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>Staying local<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming opening of the shop\u2019s second location also marks 20 years for the business, co-owned by local best friends Audrie San Miguel and Emily Larson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel so fortunate to have been able to parlay my love of vintage into a career with my best friend for over 20 years now,\u201d Larson said in a news release. \u201cThere isn\u2019t a single day that I take it for granted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The new location is opening in what was Neu Appliances and will be alongside other local businesses offering vintage, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bluevelvetaustin.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Blue Velvet<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/roomservicevintage.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Room Service Vintage<\/a>. San Miguel acquired Room Service in the summer, as <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/austin\/north-central-austin\/business\/2025\/08\/07\/room-service-vintage-announces-new-ownership-extended-hours-and-space\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">previously reported<\/a> by Community Impact.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re so excited to branch out to the legendary North Loop strip,\u201d San Miguel said in a news release. \u201cWe\u2019re honored to be among other legacy Austin businesses and we will fight to keep the independent vibe of the neighborhood strong. There\u2019s no other place we\u2019d rather be, and we hold all our neighbors in high regard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The grand opening<\/p>\n<p>Prototype will open Dec. 6 and celebrate with an opening party.
