North Texas<\/a> came home from a tough road trip with what looked like a golden opportunity \u2013 four consecutive winnable home games.<\/p>\n

The Mean Green finished off the series with a clean sweep Tuesday with a 77-75 win over Houston Christian at the Super Pit.<\/p>\n

UNT got off to a slow start before scrambling their way back to win their final tuneup before a showdown with TCU in a neutral site game at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth in the USLBM Coast to Coast Challenge on Sunday.<\/p>\n

UNT had some issues to work through before that game after losing key guard Will McClendon for the year with a knee injury in a loss at Oregon State.<\/p>\n

The Mean Green continued to work toward that goal in their win over Houston Christian. Sophomore forward Reece Robinson and junior guard Cahmai Crosby both posted season highs with 16 and 12 points, respectively.<\/p>\n

UNT needed big games from both in a contest the Mean Green didn\u2019t put away until late. UNT led 69-67 when David Terrell Jr. hit a layup.<\/p>\n

The Mean Green led 73-67 after Robinson hit a pair of free throws late.<\/p>\n

Houston Christian pulled within 75-74 on a three-point play with 4.3 seconds left from Elijah Brooks.<\/p>\n

David Terrell Jr. hit a pair of free throws. Houston Christian had a chance to tie the game coming out of a timeout with 3.1 seconds left.<\/p>\n

UNT fouled Trent Johnson before Houston Christian could get a three off. Johnson hit the first free throw and intentionally missed the second. Robinson grabbed the rebound and the Mean Green hung on for the win after trailing much of the way.<\/p>\n

UNT landed in a 27-19 hole in the first half after Brooks scored in the paint late in the first half.<\/p>\n

The Mean Green went on a 16-3 run that turned the game around. UNT led by as many as eight at 44-36 early in the second half but was unable to put Houston Christian away.<\/p>\n

The teams were locked in a tight battle until the buzzer.<\/p>\n
