Trustees requested more information and community feedback before taking any action.<\/p>\n<p>CCISD acknowledged that school closures can be emotional for families and staff but said the financial pressures and aging facilities require a serious review of options.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe understand our schools are home to cherished memories and traditions,\u201d the district wrote in a message to staff and families, adding that the goal is to ensure CCISD\u2019s long-term financial stability and meet student needs.<\/p>\n<p>The letter also stated that staff in good standing who are affected by the changes will be afforded the opportunity to remain employed by the district.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We take seriously our role as the area\u2019s largest employer, and we want to reassure the community that, should any of the options above move forward, affected employees who are in good standing would continue to have the opportunity to remain employed with CCISD.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Presentations, FAQs and related materials will be posted at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccisd.us\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ccisd.us<\/a>.
