They enjoyed a cozy 31-13 victory over the Calallen Wildcats<\/a> on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Bears as they’re now sitting on 11 straight.<\/p>\n It was another big night for COOPER NULL<\/a>, who rushed for 181 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. Those 181 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. La Vernia also got a significant boost from TY CARTER<\/a>, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 90 yards.<\/p>\n They were just one part of a punishing run game: La Vernia was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 302 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they’ve now rushed for at least 179 rushing yards in 21 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.<\/p>\n La Vernia’s record now sits at 12-1. As for Calallen, they moved to 10-3 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.<\/p>\n Looking ahead, La Vernia will face off against Davenport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears will need to watch out since the Wolves have now posted at least 31 points in their last six games. Calallen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.<\/p>\n
