Eight years after a Houston husband and father was shot to death outside his north Harris County apartment complex, investigators say they have finally arrested one of the suspects connected to the case.<\/p>\n
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office announced that 25-year-old Brian Adams is now in custody and charged with capital murder in the killing of Pedro Aguilar, who died during an attempted carjacking in 2017<\/a>. Deputies say a recent DNA match through CODIS, the national DNA database, linked Adams to the crime.<\/p>\n Aguilar was shot and killed during what investigators described as a botched carjacking. At the time, deputies said two suspects tried to steal Aguilar’s vehicle outside of his apartment, but realized they didn’t know how to drive a stick shift. Aguilar’s son spoke with ABC13 in 2017, sharing how devoted his father was to his family, saying, “My baby is everything.
