The mom of a Texas A&M cheerleader<\/a> found dead after a football game said she believes her daughter was pushed or thrown off a balcony to her death during a long day of heavy drinking.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Brianna Aguilera\u2019s body was found outside an Austin apartment building where she had been attending a tailgate party early Saturday morning following a Texas A&M football game against UT.<\/p>\n

Her mom, Stephanie Rodriguez, has rejected the Austin Police Department\u2019s initial view that the 19-year-old\u2019s death<\/a> was most likely accidental or suicide.<\/p>\n

The grieving mother suggested that her daughter\u2019s friends might have gotten scared after she drank too much alcohol \u2014 and didn\u2019t know what to do.<\/p>\n

Aguilera and another girl \u201cwere arguing\u201d over a boy, Rodriguez claimed, saying that she doesn\u2019t believe her daughter would have taken her own life.<\/p>\n

\u201cEither someone shoved her over the balcony, or when my daughter does drink, she has the tendency [to fall asleep], and she\u2019s so thin and frail, she cannot handle alcohol,\u201d Rodriguez told PEOPLE.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that maybe either it might\u2019ve been that, and they probably got scared and threw her over the balcony, or they shoved her off,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s when it made me very upset because I was like, my daughter wasn\u2019t suicidal. I would know,\u201d Rodriguez said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s not suicidal. Why would she be? She was living her best life. She loved life. I mean, she loved going to school. She wanted to become a lawyer. I mean, it was just something that I was like, you don\u2019t say that,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Aguilera\u2019s phone was on Do Not Disturb from around 6:30 p.m. on Friday night, and was found by a creek the next day, Rodriguez said.<\/p>\n

The Austin Police Department told The Post that Aguilera\u2019s death is still under investigation.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this stage in the investigation, the facts obtained do not indicate that this is a homicide. This case continues to be treated strictly as a death investigation, and there is no evidence to suggest or support any suspicious or criminal circumstances surrounding Ms. Aguilera\u2019s passing,\u201d a police spokesperson said.<\/p>\n
