For the fifth year in a row, the Lake Highlands Art Tour<\/a> will connect neighbors with local artists inside home studios later this month.<\/p>\n

Those who attended last year\u2019s event<\/a> may recall one home with five artists on-site. This year, however, the tour is taking a major step forward as it expands to five homes around the neighborhood and adds 15 artists to the lineup, bringing the total number of participating creatives to 20.<\/p>\n

The tour will take place on Oct. 25 and 26 from noon to five p.m. each day and is free to attend. While there is a suggested order<\/a>, attendees are free to schedule their visits at their leisure.<\/p>\n

Disciplines represented in the expanded tour this year include painting,<\/a> photography, jewelry, glasswork, mixed-media, fiber art, leatherwork and sculpture. Virtually all of the artists represented hail from the Dallas area, and most will be on-hand to discuss their work and vision with attendees.<\/p>\n

First held in 2022, the relatively small \u2018tour\u2019 opened a singular home in Lake Highlands for an intimate gathering of neighborhood artists for the first four years of its run. Compared to sprawling undertakings like the White Rock Studio Artists Tour<\/a>, it might not seem like much.<\/p>\n

The fifth tour, it seems, will elevate the event to a fully-fledged multi-site tour packed with local artists. In addition to four private homes, the Yoga Art Music<\/a> space will host the most (7) artists of any venue featured on the tour.<\/p>\n
