SAN ANTONIO \u2013 San Antonio police said that a former McCollum High School basketball coach won\u2019t be charged after a former student said she had a sexual relationship with him.<\/p>\n

An SAPD spokesperson told KSAT on Wednesday that the investigation into Marcus Alvarado\u2019s case \u201cwas closed\u201d and no arrests have been made.<\/p>\n

Back in March, KSAT Investigates confirmed that the Texas Education Agency (TEA) began investigating Alvarado, 41<\/a>. The investigation began on March 3, according to an agency spokesperson. <\/p>\n

According to a document obtained by KSAT, Alvarado submitted his resignation to the Harlandale Independent School District, effective on March 31. <\/p>\n

Two weeks later, KSAT Investigates spoke to a former student of Alvarado\u2019s, who alleged she had a sexual relationship with him for multiple years<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Police said he was never arrested in connection with the allegations. <\/p>\n

The woman said the sexual encounters ended approximately six years ago, but began when she was a high school freshman.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Was it wrong? Yes,\u2019\u201d the woman, who is now an adult, told KSAT. \u201cIt was completely wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said hugs in the hallways escalated into sexual acts with Alvarado inside a McCollum High School locker room.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know how it started, but I just know… when it happened, it just happened really quick, and I didn\u2019t know what it was, or how to react,\u201d the woman said.<\/p>\n

According to his publicly available online teaching certificate, Alvarado remains \u201cunder review\u201d by the TEA\u2019s educator investigations division. <\/p>\n
