EL PASO, Texas (KTSM<\/a>) \u2014 A California mother is speaking out after losing both of her sons to separate killings less than a month apart in El Paso.<\/p>\n

Davonna Fanaro says her sons, Jearhamel Fanaro, 34, and Jerome \u201cDio\u201d Fanaro, 37, lived in the Sun City for the last four years.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey both were dads,\u201d she said. \u201cMy oldest son had three kids, one boy, two girls. My youngest had just one girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

El Paso Police say Jearhamel Fanaro was shot and killed Sept. 9 inside a home on Dale Douglas Drive in East El Paso. A 26-year-old woman was also injured during the incident, according to investigators.<\/p>\n

Detectives arrested Manuel Gonzalez, 43, and Salvador Gomez, 44. Both were booked on charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police say.<\/p>\n

Court documents state Gomez identified himself as the ex-boyfriend of Jearhamel Fanaro\u2019s girlfriend and told investigators the confrontation stemmed from a previous fight.<\/p>\n

Less than a month later, on Oct. 7, Jerome Fanaro died after investigators say he was placed in a chokehold during a fight at a home in the Eastlake area.<\/p>\n

Court records identify Jeremiah Nathanial Aguilar, 23, the son of Jerome Fanaro\u2019s ex-girlfriend, as the suspect. Aguilar is charged with criminally negligent homicide.<\/p>\n

Jerome Fanaro\u2019s mother told KTSM the two were still in a relationship at the time of his death and says her son was planning to return home to California, but never made it.<\/p>\n

The El Paso District Attorney\u2019s Office tells KTSM the case remains open and confirms Aguilar has a bond hearing scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 23. Court and booking records show Aguilar remains in custody.<\/p>\n

\u201cI only had two (sons), and they\u2019re gone and they\u2019re never coming back. Nothing\u2026 that anybody could say or do will make my pain go away,\u201d Davonna Fanaro said.<\/p>\n

Davonna Fanaro is asking for accountability, \u201cI want justice, and I call it justice for the Fanaro brothers. Something has to be done. They can\u2019t just get away with it. They have to be punished somehow.\u201d<\/p>\n

The family also has a GoFundMe<\/a> to help with expenses during this difficult time.<\/p>\n
