Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hutto<\/a>). They breezed past the Calallen Wildcats<\/a> to the tune of 69-39 on Thursday. The Hippos not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since February 11th (when they won 92-61).<\/p>\n Despite the loss, Calallen still got an impressive performance from Sam Cecava<\/a>, who shot 54% from the field en route to 14 points and six boards. That was a full 35.9% of the Wildcats’ points, marking the third time in a row Cecava has posted more than a third of the team’s points. Dylan Aquino<\/a> was another key player, putting up nine points.<\/p>\n The victory made it two in a row for Hutto and bumps their season record up to 3-7. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points over those games. As for Calallen, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.<\/p>\n Looking ahead, Hutto and Hendrickson will face off at 1:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The Hippos are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Calallen, they didn’t take long to hit the court again: they’ve already played their next contest, a 51-43 defeat against Brazoswood on the 4th.<\/p>\n
