Chaparral<\/a> waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins… but they left with five. They walked away with a 46-37 win over the Flour Bluff Hornets<\/a>.<\/p>\n Chaparral got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was D’Miya Spruill<\/a> out in front who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. Spruill is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she’s now pulled down eight or more in each of the last three games she’s played. Amierah Moore<\/a> was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.<\/p>\n Chaparral smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they’ve now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds every time they’ve taken the court this season.<\/p>\n Chaparral’s win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Flour Bluff, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.<\/p>\n Chaparral has already played their next contest, a 72-41 victory against Dobie on the 4th. As for Flour Bluff, they also didn’t take long to hit the court again: they’ve already played their next game, a 71-17 loss against Argyle on the 4th.<\/p>\n
