{"id":79879,"date":"2025-12-08T02:13:11","date_gmt":"2025-12-08T02:13:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/79879\/"},"modified":"2025-12-08T02:13:11","modified_gmt":"2025-12-08T02:13:11","slug":"u-s-70-road-project-to-impact-traffic-starting-monday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/79879\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S. 70 road project to impact traffic starting Monday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">EL PASO, Texas (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ktsm.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:KTSM;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">KTSM<\/a>) \u2014 A roadway project along U.S. 70 in Do\u00f1a Ana County is scheduled to start Monday, Dec. 8 and will impact traffic, the New Mexico Department of Transportation said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">This $2.3 million project is expected to take 12 working days and be completed by Dec. 23, weather pending.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Drivers can expect lane closures on both eastbound and westbound lanes of U.S. 70 from mile marker 170, about 8 miles east of Organ, to mile marker 161, about 1 mile west of Organ.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The contractor will begin at the White Sands Missile Range entrance, milling and paving ramps before moving to US 70.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Work hours will be 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the possibility of weekend work.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Drivers are urged to reduce speed and obey all traffic control devices.
