ARLINGTON, Texas \u2013\u00a0Kira Reynolds<\/a> earned her second Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Newcomer of the Week honor, the league office announced on Monday afternoon. \u2013 #BuckEm \u2013<\/p>\n \u00a0

\nThis is the second weekly award for the Lady Mavs as well as Reynolds this season.
\n\u00a0
\nA freshman forward from South Bend, Ind., Reynolds was instrumental in the Lady Mavs 62-55 win over the Trojans of Little Rock. She finished with her fourth double-double of the season, putting up 22 points and 11 rebounds to go along with four blocks, two steals and one assist in the Lady Mavs’ lone action of the week.

\nReynolds is the Lady Mavs leading scorer and rebounder, averaging 13.0 points and 9.2 rebounds per contest. Her 30 total blocks are tied for the top mark in the conference and fourth on the national scale. She averages 3.33 blocks per game, also tied for the top mark in the WAC and second nationally. Her four double-doubles are also tied for the top mark in the league and 17th nationally.

\nThe Lady Mavs return to action this weekend when they travel to Houston to take on Rice on Friday, Dec. 12, for an 11:15 a.m. CT tipoff inside Tudor Fieldhouse.
