Here\u2019s why and when it\u2019ll restart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/dart\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/dart\/\">Dallas Area Rapid Transit<\/a> will temporarily suspend train service in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/downtown-dallas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/topic\/downtown-dallas\/\">downtown Dallas<\/a> beginning Wednesday for required safety testing, according to an announcement from the transit agency. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The transit agency will undergo planned safety maintenance and testing that requires shutting down a portion of the system, the announcement said. Beginning Wednesday at 9:30 p.m., train service will be suspended on all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dart.org\/guide\/transit-and-use\/rail\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dart.org\/guide\/transit-and-use\/rail\">light rail lines<\/a> in the Central Business District.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">Service is expected to be restored by 4 a.m. Thursday, the announcement said. Blue Line trains will run between Downtown Rowlett and SMU\/Mockingbird and between EBJ Union and UNT Dallas stations. Green Line trains will run between Baylor and Buckner and between Victory and North Carrollton\/Frankford stations. Orange Line trains will run between Victory and DFW Airport stations. For access to Parker Road, transfer to a Red Line train at SMU\/Mockingbird. Silver Line trains will not be impacted. <\/p>\n<p class=\"body-text-paragraph\">The following routes will have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dart.org\/guide\/transit-and-use\/bus-routes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dart.org\/guide\/transit-and-use\/bus-routes\">shuttle buses<\/a> available every 20 minutes: <\/p>\n<p>Green Line passengers will need to transfer to a shuttle bus at Victory or Baylor Station for stops at: Victory, West End, Pearl\/Arts District, Deep Ellum and Baylor stations.
