But he just broke one of the immortal records in Texas high school football for an RB.<\/p>\n
In 1953, Kenneth Hall ran for 4,045 yards for Sugar Land High School.<\/p>\n
In the 72 years since, no one had ever equaled that mark for a single season for any high school football team anywhere in Texas.<\/p>\n
Until Ash.<\/p>\n
Ash, who plays for Mount Enterprise, broke the mark Friday night as his school advanced in the UIL Class 2A Division II playoffs past Bremond.<\/p>\n
His 319 yards on the night, which followed 420 the week before, pushed Ash past Hall.<\/p>\n

He certainly knows where opposing ball carriers are trying to go, and he’s got the speed and change of direction to make lots of plays on defense.<\/p>\n At least one running back nationally ran for more yards than Ash this fall, so far.
