[Photo: Courtesy Ashla]\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Paul Allen<br \/>Founder, Ashla<br \/>Founder, Embark<br \/>\u2026 on launching Ashla, a family office and venture platform <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Screen-Shot-2017-10-01-at-12.42.04-PM-e1506880190392.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"969\" height=\"4\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">Paul Allen, a Dallas entrepreneur who built financial consulting firm Embark on a \u201cHappy Works\u201d philosophy has launched Ashla, a family office and venture platform that backs founders and companies designed to make work, community, and innovation \u201cmore human.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p5\">The name comes from two places: In the \u201cStar Wars\u201d universe, Ashla is what the Jedi call \u201cthe light side of the Force.\u201d In Hebrew, it means \u201chappy\u201d or \u201cblessed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEverything I learned from building Embark\u2014the culture, the alignment, the belief that people matter most\u2014is baked into Ashla,\u201d Allen said. \u201cIt\u2019s a continuation of that same heartbeat, just expressed in new ways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ashla\u2019s four verticals\u2014Labs, Ventures, Scouts, and Capital\u2014are already backing startups like Mother Home Services, a Dallas plumbing company where employees share in ownership; CoverZero, an analytics platform for coaches that tripled its user base in 2025; and Stonethrow, a private families-only club in East Dallas founded by Nick Clark and Dawson Williams that secured a 3.65-acre property with plans to break ground next spring.<\/p>\n<p>The platform also includes the Ashla Foundation, which channels profits back into communities worldwide through partners like Acumen and Atlas Free.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe more successful we are, the more fuel we have for the Foundation,\u201d Allen said. \u201cBusiness can be a flywheel for good\u2014it can create dignity in work, bring people together, and shape a future that feels worth working toward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dallasinnovates.com\/embark-founder-launches-dallas-based-ashla-a-next%e2%80%91gen-family-office-and-venture-platform\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Read more<\/a> in our story.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p6\">For more of who said what about all things North Texas, <a href=\"https:\/\/dallasinnovates.com\/every-last-word\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">check out Every Last Word.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t miss what\u2019s next.
