Dallas Trinity FC<\/a> got its third win in a row with a 1-0 home victory over Carolina Ascent FC. The win continues a strong run of form for Dallas following a lengthy winless streak. <\/p>\n

Midfielder Lexi Missimo\u2019s 64th-minute goal was the difference in a tight affair between two teams in the top half of the league table. Missimo, a Southlake Carroll<\/a> and Texas<\/a> product, got her first goal of the season in her second game back after missing 12 matches through injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just so thankful and excited to be back on the pitch. To be able to contribute a goal to this team is everything and more. Once we get our groove, I think this team will strive,\u201d Missimo said.<\/p>\n

Trinity goalkeeper Rylee Foster kept a clean sheet on a day when Dallas surrendered 20 shots, including four on goal. Conversely, Dallas was clinical in the final third, scoring with its only shot on target of the afternoon.<\/p>\n

The win sees Trinity rise into fourth in the table to grab the final playoff spot at 19 points. They sit just four points off league-leading Lexington SC at the top of the league.<\/p>\n

Dallas has a big opportunity in its next match when it hosts Lexington Saturday, Dec. 20 at the Cotton Bowl.<\/p>\n
