deadly shooting along I-20\u00a0<\/a>in Arlington in November that left a pregnant 29-year-old woman dead, officials say.\u00a0<\/p>\nPolice got warrants for the suspect, identified as Malik Miner, 29, for capital murder, three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of deadly conduct, police say. Miner was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force in Midlothian on Dec. 10, police say.\u00a0<\/p>\n

A 28-year-old man reported Nov. 12 that he and his girlfriend, later identified as Bre\u2019Asia Johnson, 29, had been shot as they drove along I-20 near Bowman Springs Road, according to police.\u00a0<\/p>\n
After they pulled into a QuikTrip parking lot in the 4900 block of Little Road to meet first responders, Johnson was found unresponsive in the passenger’s seat with a gunshot wound, officials say. Johnson was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, police say.<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old man was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries before being released, officials say. Two children who were in the back seat of the vehicle at the time of the shooting were also taken to the hospital to be checked out, but were not seriously injured, officials say.\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the 28-year-old man had a gunshot wound to his hip and one of the two children had been hit by glass that was broken after it was hit by gunfire.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Officers found a second vehicle that had also been hit by gunfire, but they weren’t injured and were found not to have been involved in the incident, police say.\u00a0<\/p>\n
According to the affidavit, two different caliber shell casings were found on the highway.<\/p>\n
Detectives determined the shooting was targeted and found Miner had previously been in a romantic relationship with Johnson and had been feuding with the 28-year-old man, Johnson’s current boyfriend, officials say.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Detectives got a search warrant on Miner’s home, seized his cell phone, among other items and a review of his phone revealed he’d had previous communication with the 28-year-old man, police say.<\/p>\n
