CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 It wasn\u2019t sales that drew crowds to La Palmera Mall on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Instead, families gathered for a live performance by Rumi, Zoey, and Mira — a trio of impersonators whose characters many kids instantly recognized from the Netflix hit,\u00a0K-Pop Demon Hunters.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019ve been watching it, I don\u2019t know how many times — a million, a million times,\u201d a mother and daughter said.<\/p>\n
The performers transformed the shopping center into a mini-concert, with fans singing and dancing along to every song. Parents said the music has become a constant soundtrack at home and even at work.<\/p>\n
\u201cSometimes I am at work\u00a0and\u00a0I\u2019m singing the song. My husband, too,\u201d the mother said. \u201cHe sings the songs at work, at the house, when he\u2019s studying — when he studies, he\u2019s singing the song.\u201d<\/p>\n
Families packed balconies and stairways to get a glimpse of the performers, creating an energetic atmosphere that felt more like a concert than a mall appearance.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople were waiting all along the balcony and all through the stairs,\u201d the impersonators said. \u201cEverywhere they knew we were going to walk through, they were there. It was crazy. We were amazed the first time, but this last one was even more awesome. We felt all the energy.\u201d<\/p>\n
The group said moments like these are what make performing worthwhile, especially seeing young fans connect through music.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is so amazing to see all the girls come together into songs that we write and that we\u2019ve performed,\u201d they said. \u201cThey are singing with us. We are all in this together. The thing is, they know the words better than us, and I\u2019m like, wow, you guys really know this.\u201d<\/p>\n
The impersonators travel across town to different events, bringing the experience to fans of all ages.<\/p>\n
