Querétaro, Mexico lifestyle company and winemaker Puerta del Lobo has uncorked a new wine-inspired project that will combine a working winery, event spaces, and massive lots with private vineyards along Wine Road 290.

The ambitious development is the first project for the Mexican winemaker within the United States. The site will be similar to a 2014 Querétaro flagship that blends wine tourism accommodations and fine dining. A press release says the Hill Country tract will eventually include “chef-led restaurants, green areas, recreational amenities, a clubhouse, a wedding venue, an exclusive boutique hotel, and attached commercial areas.”

And, of course, Texas’ toniest connoisseurs will have the chance to live the vineyard life whenever they want. The plots, located 54 miles from Austin and 70 miles from San Antonio, are three-plus acres, offering land for testing out the future owner’s favorite varietals. Puerta del Lobo says it will offer owners the opportunity to craft their own personal wine with support from a master winemaker.

The Puerta del Lobo will include private vineyards on every lot. They say the development will preserve the unique aesthetics of the Texas Hill Country, and they are working to ensure minimal environmental impact. The developer promises that the tract will honor dark sky lighting regulations and use sustainable water usage practices to protect the area’s aquifer.

Pre-construction sales are now open for the luxury residences. Puerto del Lobo says it has partnered with luxury builders so each owner can build a dream home.
